War turns a profit for most parties involved. It's a well known fact. Ignore anyone who tells you otherwise. For some, the money's made through manufacturing, for others, arms sales. For David Packouz (Miles Teller) and Efraim Diveroli (Jonah Hill) it's just a job.

David Packouz is down on his luck. He's business is failing and his life is generally boring. When Efraim Diveroli, an old school friend, comes back into his life he receives a unique opportunity, arms dealing. Not some shady underhand trafficking but US funded, Pentagon controlled arms dealing. And so begins a tale of firearms, decadence and the slow spiral of destruction.
Other than being an outrageous story, enhanced by the fact that its an adaption of real events, War Dogs is 100% entertaining. It's super stylish and highly watchable. Miles Teller nails the character of a young guy getting way in over his head and, dare I say, Jonah Hill, an actor I'm not a big fan of, manages to be less annoying than he usually is, even to the extent that he's mildly likeable.
Coming from the director of The Hangover and its even lesser sequels, War Dogs is hands down the most entertaining "based on a true story" movies around. From gun running through Fallujah to acquiring Kalashnicovs from Albania, you get to see it all. And that includes the problems that inherently come with dealing with dangerous items.

War Dogs is a good movie. It's funny, ridiculous and incredibly stylish. While it does get a bit bogged down toward the end, War Dogs is a damn good time and one well worth enjoying.
