Review: Spiderman 3 Fails To Ascend.

The third and final Rami Spiderman was, until recently, considered the worst superhero film of all time. And yeah, it's undeniably bad, but just how bad is it?

Peter Parker, once again played by the incredibly awkward Toby Maguire, if finally happy. He saved the day, beat the bad guys and got the girl. But, unexpectedly enough, something inevitably goes wrong. Before long there's a new Goblin, the Sandman, an escaped convict who killed peter's Uncle, and Venom, the product of an alien goo. But that's not all. Peter has to juggle a relationship that's beginning to fall apart, a friend who may or may not remember what he is as well as a new love interest and a rival at the Daily Bugle.
This movie is packed, and I haven't even covered everything that's in it. It doesn't even have the enjoyable villains of the prior films. The best part, as usual, is J.K. Simmons but everything else is entirely forgettable or just plain bad. There's a new suit that later becomes a villain and a twist that no one saw coming and frankly, no one cared about.
Venom isn't introduced until the last half hour, a plot line created at the end of the second film is closed within twenty minutes of this one starting and at this point everyone seems bored. Not to mention the goth phase that Peter goes through, though these scenes are better left hidden.

It's messy, dull and not even the action can save what should have been a good continuation of the Rami Spiderman films. Rumours of studio interference may be true but it doesn't change the fact that this one stinks.
